In a press release issued late last month, Subaru of America announced that all three of its crossover SUVs earned best-in-class recognition in the 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards. Based on the results of an extensive survey, the annual awards aim to recognize models that best meet and exceed the expectations of their owners. More than 65,000 new-vehicle purchasers and lessees responded to the survey, evaluating their vehicle in five key areas including ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, power and acceleration, and technology.

Both the Outback and Forester earned their second consecutive titles, winning in the Premium Mid-Size Crossover SUV and Mid-Size Crossover SUV segments, respectively. Crosstrek was named best-in-class in the Compact Crossover segment.

“We are extremely proud to receive these three distinguished 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards because they represent the voice of our customers,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “This recognition is a testament to our commitment of providing top quality vehicles with safety, reliability, durability, and comfort in mind.”
