Subaru of America, Inc. recently announced pricing for the 2017 Subaru WRX and the 2017 WRX STI. According to the official press release, the 2017 WRX will start at $26,695 MSRP, about $100 more than last year’s model. The 2017 WRX STI starts at $35,195 MSRP.
Both models will be available in Turnersville, Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel later this summer, but what can you expect they’re finally available at Prestige Subaru?
The New 2017 Subaru WRX
The 2017 Subaru WRX is powered by a 2.0L direct injection turbo BOXER® engine. It gets 268 horsepower and works with an available Sport Lineartronic™ automatic transmission system with manual mode. It also comes with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The latest WRX also includes a variety of new technologies like the standard STARLINK™ 6.2-inch infotainment system, which features SiriusXM® Satellite Radio and HD Radio®. A 7-inch system is also available. This includes access to an advanced navigation system that works with SiriusXM Traffic® and Travel Link® to not only help you get to where you need to go but also keep you updated on traffic and weather conditions in the area.
In addition to infotainment options, the 2017 Subaru WRX also offers available EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. This suite of safety features adds the following systems:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Pre-Collision Braking
- Lane Departure Warning
The 2017 WRX offers available Steering Responsive Fog lights as well. With this, the left and right fog lights are activated independently based on the vehicle’s speed and steering angle. As a result, you’ll get an illuminated path in the direction you’re traveling to ensure optimum visibility.
Blind Spot Detection as well as Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are also available for safety and peace of mind.
The 2017 Subaru WRX STI
The 2017 Subaru WRX STI is the sportier model out of the two. It’s set to feature a 2.5L turbocharged, intercooled Subaru BOXER® engine that gets 305 horsepower. The engine will work the Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and high-performance features for enhanced capabilities and a sportier driving experience.
The 2017 WRX STI also includes Subaru Intelligent Drive. This is a powertrain management system that offers three selectable driving modes to ensure you get the exact performance you want.
This model is equipped with many of the same features and technologies offered for the WRX. However, the WRX STI offers a number of exclusive amenities. One is the upgraded 7-inch Subaru STARLINK™Multimedia Navigation system. You’ll also find a 9-speaker premium sound system complete with harmon/kardon amplifier.
