Technology

The new Ascent trims all use an 11.6-inch infotainment display. Your base audio option has six speakers, but you may upgrade to a Harman Kardon system that employs 14 speakers, a subwoofer, and audio clarifying technology. Wireless connectivity is available for your phone over Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. USB connectivity is also available. Satellite radio is an option, and drivers can get introductory service at no initial cost. Real-time traffic data is also available through the system.

Safety

Subaru is a brand that equates with safety. Everything starts with the company's symmetrical all-wheel drivetrain. It works in unison with the traction and stability control systems to provide a smooth and safe ride, no matter the conditions. Subaru's EyeSight® Driver Assistance tech provides features like advanced adaptive cruise control, pre-collision mitigation, lane departure warnings, and automatic emergency braking. The optional automatic reverse braking system adds more protection when you back up, too.

Exterior Design

The Ascent hews tightly to Subaru's design language. It is a long SUV that includes a fairly traditional front end with a large grille and sizeable headlamps. Geometric and shallow covers house the fog lights. Its lines are sharp, but it's curvy enough to not be boxy. Sizeable roof rails provide extra cargo capacity, too. Cladding along the bottom also reduces the risk of damage to the paint job, a notable benefit for a vehicle with significant all-wheel drive and off-road capabilities.

18-inch wheels are the standard option for the Ascent, but you can order wheels that are as large as 20 inches. Eight body paint options are available, too. 8.7 inches of ground clearance make the Ascent a good option for typical off-road adventures around Deptford Township.

Interior Design

Drivers and passengers come first in the Ascent. It is a spacious SUV that offers comfortable seats. Contrasting patterns and high-quality stitching also give the seats a strong sense of design. You can purchase the Ascent as a seven- or eight-seat SUV. The seats come in three rows. A dark interior is standard, but silver accents give life to the interior.

Sicklerville drivers get a high vantage point to see the road, and they also can readily access a large touchscreen for navigation, camera views, and entertainment. With 170.8 cubic feet of cabin room, the Ascent is accommodating. The rear cargo area offers 17.6 cubic feet of room, and you may expand that by folding the seats to get a maximum of 72.8 cubic feet.
